Horizon outlet is a rip off!!
This company disguises themselves as a "credit card". I received my card only to find out it wasn't a credit card at all. The card can only be used on their website. Once I went to the website and entered my card number and zip code it would not let me enter the site. I want my money back because this card is the biggest rip-off I have ever heard of or been sucked in by. I needed a credit card to help with financial woes and instead I got ripped off and taken advantage of. Don't get sucked in.

0 I also applied for a credit card instead I got this card that I could only use on this website I want to cancel and I want my money back. I think this is a big ripoff false advertising
0 It clearly states in the services agreement and disclosures that this is not a credit card. Always read everything before you sign offers. I am not an employee of this company. This is just a friendly suggestion. There are a ton of fees you automatically get on this card that you have to pay them also. They will report to the Credit Bureau if you keep everything current which will help your credit score if you cannot get help anywhere else. Try Fingerhut, 1st Bank Premiere Card, Dell.com and a regular credit union. My credit is really bad and I received fingerhut credit $200, a 1st bank card $300 (35% interest) and a regular mastercard with a low limit $500 and 15% interest by changing banks and going with a credit union my dell account is $5,000. This has raised my score by 100 points in 5 months.
0 They same thing happened to me and they also portrayed themselves as a credit card company and next thing you know they are mailing you some card for a discount store and taking money out of your account. Luckily I read the reviews and I contacted my bank. This company doesn't even deserve a heads up. They know exactly how their ripping off people in need of some cash security. So my bank is looking into fraud charges and shouldn't be surprised about that!

0 they are slick they tell u it can only be used for there merchandise after they get ur financial info. Its good for me. Should had known better. And i can not get a hold of them.
0 I went ahead and purchased this stupid credit card too. They told me that I would get a $500.00. Of course I would have to pay them back. What they didn't tell me is that I would only beable to purchase things from their Website. After I purchased the card and recieved it that's when I found out that little trick. I still thought it would be alright untill I checked out the Website. There is nothing but crap on that whole Website. That's when I knew I was ripped off. So I just tore up the card and threw it away. That was another bad mistake I made because I guess they can keep charging you untill you cancel that card. The reason I know that is because after I paid $29.95 they charged me $24.95 3 to 4 weeks later. I am really upset about this scam I have gotten myself into. I still haven't cancelled my card because I don't know customer services phone number. That will be the first thing I do tomorrow when I get up. Usually when someone takes money from your account you will find a phone number in the slot showing you who took your money. No phone number from these guys. Please people don't make the same mistake I made. Do not get that Horizon Gold Card.

0 I talked to customer service 11/2 about this stupid card (Horizon Gold)...I never ordered it (probably my ex husband), they took money out of my account ($24.95). They said they would give it back to me. Today (11/6) they took it out again....they are robbers...yes i talked to my bank, they will make sure these crooks don't get anymore money from me!

0 I went on the site to purchase something you can use the card to purchase but, you still have to use your Visa, Mastercard to pay for the shipping and handling. I ask why can't they take the shipping and handling charge off the Horizon Card.
0 The bible says that we perish for a lack of knowledge and from these negative reviews that is definately the case here. Just read. They tell its not an actual credit card or finacial institution of any sort. And their online catalog can simply be accesed via Google, and their items are basically the same price as retail stores. $29.00 doesn't seem bad to pay per month if you're able, but people still want something for nothing it seems...

That right there is a hell no, then if you read the terms, or as I do, scan for more hell no's, like the money can only be used on their website. Then go ahead and check that website and see its fake before accepting. Stop and think, we are targeted because of an inquiry we made at some point on how to get money fast, with little hassle, no checks on credit, etc. Now we pay the price, I have been offered so many awesome loans, cards, even checks in the mail for a decent chunk of money, and all have been junk, and if I fell for any of them, I'd be in so much debt and anguish. I have come close, been so tempted cause the websites, emails, other ways have looked legit, but look closer. I caught on and confronted them, they laugh in our faces saying "stupid Americans",they won't stop cause for every 10 people they proposition, at least 1 will fall for it. And if that's you, I'm sorry you are like they say "stupid American".

0 I agree with this complaint, I receive the Horizon Gold, thought it was a card to help rebuild my credit, I haven't found any store that I can use it out, I don't know how it acutually work, exect they are DEDUCTING $24.95 from my bank account that I did not know was going to happen. You can have you card,but I WANT MY HARD EARNED MONEY REFUNDED, you are a shady company, deceiving people, you have taken $24.95 out of my account since Nov. 2011. I want it back. Reporting you company to Better Business Burea.
0 I was disappointed also cause they made it sound like it was a credit card. I paid the 29.95 fee to find that I cant even use this card anywhere but there site.
0 When I signed up for this the only thing that really pissed me off was normally you check amd consent a certain amount firstbefore your charged bank is charged along with a list of fees..it was misleading but I alwayscheck reviews before putting any numbers and you all should also for your own safety..but all in all I think this is a fair deal for poor credit..until I see things like people not recieving their merchandise im going to asume thia is the best its gonna get for poor credit..and everyone should remember this is a credit building tool and to asume you would be granted shopping spree bill money is probably why your in the boat your in. if it looks too good to be true it probably is!!!
0 ptinl...You're right, it does clearly state that its not a Visa or Mastercard, and I was fine with that. I am trying to rebulid my credit, and thought that this would be a decent option...I figured I'd buy one thing a month, pay the balance in full every payment, and pretty soon, my credit would improve. However, the fact that they won't even SHOW you what you can purchase until you sign up is very shady. If they are such a stand up company, why not let us view the goods they are offering???? And bing2008, most people do not purposely stop paying their credit card bills and set out to ruin their credit. Generally, something pretty major happens in their lives (i.e., losing a job with no warning, a death in the family, being off of work for an extended time b/c of a health issue, no medical insurance) that forces them to make choices...either pay your creditors or put food on the table for your family. I wait for the day that one of these things happens to you...I bet you won't be quite so smug then.

0 I am writing to say that the identical thing happened to me. I thought I was going to get a usable credit card, only after they deducted $29.99 from my checking account did I learn the limitationson their card. I to tried to access anybody online and could get no response to the account numbers I was assigned. I feel like a fool for letting myself get ripped off like this.
